Michael Carbone is Senior Vice President, TD Bank Group and Regional President, Metro PA/NJ Market. He oversees all retail and commercial bank services and profit centers, consumer and commercial lending and government banking within the market.
Prior to his current role, Michael was Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the South Jersey and Delaware Market. He led that region’s outstanding growth and was instrumental in building the largest market share for any bank operating in South Jersey.
Michael began his twenty-nine year banking career with First Fidelity Bank, and then moved on to United Jersey Bank South, where he held a variety of increasingly senior community lending positions.
Michael is dedicated to serving the community. He is Chairman of the Board for the Committee of 70, and serves on numerous other boards, including the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey, Penn Cardiovascular Institute, and Rowan Business Advisory Board. Michael also serves on the Finance and Operating Committee for Select Greater Philadelphia and is also involved with CEO Council for Growth and CEO Access Network.
Michael has been recognized for his community involvement with the Anti-Defamation League Americanism Award (2013), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Breath of Life Award (2010) and was named the “Man of the Year” by the Boys and Girls Club of Camden County (2010). In 2014, he received Rowan University’s Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society Award, and was recognized by Rowan University as a “Distinguished Alumni” at their commencement ceremony.
Michael is a graduate of Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College), where he earned a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Economics and has Accreditation in Advanced Financial Analysis from Michigan University in 1987. He is married and has one son. His hobbies include golf and reading.
