CHERRY HILL, N.J., Feb. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- After contributing $1.6 million across hundreds of communities across the bank's footprint, TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, and TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, are pleased to announce that the Bring Change initiative will continue into 2017. TD's Bring Change community program helps raise funds for charities and community members in need within TD's footprint on a hyperlocal level, with local stores serving as fundraising hubs.
The Bring Change campaign first launched in May 2015 as a way for TD Bank to give back to the communities in which it operates. So far, TD contributed $1.6 million to the communities it calls home. This year's campaign focus includes supporting affordable housing in low- and moderate-income areas, helping people recover from natural disasters, funding the arts, and developing programs that educate and inspire children.
"Through this campaign we've supported organizations that give to the homeless, cancer survivors who need help with their medical expenses, and veterans who have served our country, just to name a few, and as a brand knowing that we're addressing these types of needs makes us all feel like we're making an impact," said Lisa Gruner, Community Marketing Director, TD Bank. "Our ultimate goal is to inspire others to make a difference in their communities and we're able to achieve this through the Bring Change campaign."
Rather than simply providing a check to a local organization, the Bring Change program encourages the community to rally around an organization or individual in need, with TD store managers coordinating both a monetary and physical donation drive at their local stores. TD will also make a contribution of its own.

For the 2017 calendar year, TD Bank will host more than 100 similar fundraising events at stores across its Maine to Florida footprint benefiting local charities and individuals.
